Navigation (Life-Saving Appliances) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.

Marking of lifeboats

2.Regulation 18 of the Navigation (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) "port of registration" and substituting "home port or, if the ship does not have Australian nationality, the port of registry".

Marking of buoyant apparatus

3. Regulation 44 of the Navigation (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations is amended by omitting "port of registration" and substituting "home port or, if the ship does not have Australian nationality, its port of registry".
