REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912-1961.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912-1961.

AMENDMENTS OF THE NAVIGATION (LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCES) REGULATIONS. 

Third Schedule.

1. The Third Schedule to the Navigation (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-paragraph (n) of paragraph 1 of Part VIII. the following sub-paragraph:—

“(na) energy tablets, as follows:—

(i) 60 tablets each containing vitamin A activity, with aneurine hydrochloride B.P., riboflavine B.P., nicotinamide B.P., ascorbic acid B.P. and vitamin D in accordance with the formula set out in the British Pharmaceutical Codex for capsules Vitaminorum; or

(ii) 120 tablets each containing 5 milligrammes of dextroamphetamine sulphate;”.

Eighth Schedule.

2. The Eighth Schedule to the Navigation (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (l) of Part II. the word “four” and inserting in its stead the word “two”.

Ninth Schedule.

3. The Ninth Schedule to the Navigation (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph 1 the word “pugged” and inserting in its stead the word “plugged”.
