REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912-1934.

Amendment of the Navigation (Health) Regulations. 

Certificate of physical fitness of young person for service at sea.

1. Regulation 4 of the Navigation (Health) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(2.) The certificate of physical fitness required by section 40b of the Navigation Act 1912-1934 to be produced to a Superintendent by a person under the age of eighteen years before engagement or re-engagement for service at sea shall be in accordance with Form H.—3 in the Schedule to these Regulations.”.

Amendment of the Schedule.

2. The Schedule to the Navigation (Health) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following form:—

CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS OF PERSON UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.

(Note.—This Certificate remains in force for a period of one year, but may be renewed by indorsement.)
