Navigation (Direction-Finders) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Interpretation

1. Regulation 3 of the Navigation (Direction-Finders) Regulations is amended by omitting all the words from and including "which is" to and including "outside Australia" from the definition of "ship" in sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following:

"that—

(a) is a ship to which Part II of the Navigation Act 1912 applies; or

(b) is engaged in the carriage of passengers from a port in Australia to a port outside Australia".

Commencement

2. Regulation 1 shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.
