Navigation (Compass) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

Application

1. Regulation 4 of the Navigation (Compass) Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following sub-regulation:

"(1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), these Regulations apply to and in relation to—

(a) ships to which Part II of the Act applies; and

(b) ships surveyed in Australia for the issue of an Australian certificate of survey or equipment.".

Commencement

2. Regulation 1 shall come into operation on 26 January 1982.
