Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation

1.These regulations may be cited as the Navigable Waters Amendment Regulations

(No. 3) 1997.

Commencement
2. These regulations come into operation on 1 October 1998.
Regulation 52BAB amended

3. Regulation 52BAB of the Navigable Waters Regulations* is amended —

(a) in subregulation (1) by deleting '30 nautical miles from the mainland, or more

than one nautical mile from an island situated more than 30 nautical miles from

the mainland," and substituting the following —

2 nautical miles from the mainland, or more than 400 metres from an

island situated more than 2 nautical miles from the mainland,

(b)	in subregulation (2) by deleting "An" and substituting the following —
" Subject to subregulation (3), an ";and
(c)	by inserting after subregulation (2) the following subregulation —

"

This regulation does not apply to the owner of a vessel while it is operating in the partially smooth waters of Fremantle Area- Central and Fremantle Area- North, as defined in Schedule 1 of the W. A. Marine (Certificates of Compentency and Safety Manning) Regulations 1983.
