REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1934.

Amendments of the Naval Volunteer Reserve Regulations. 

1. Regulation 18 of the Naval Volunteer Reserve Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Supply of uniform.

“18. An officer shall be supplied, at Commonwealth expense, with such articles of uniform as are approved by the Naval Board.”.

2.Regulation 20 of the Naval Volunteer Reserve Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Uniform when serving under proclamation or during emergency.

“20.—(1) An officer who, during an emergency, serves voluntarily or is called up for training shall bring with him the articles of uniform with which he has been provided under regulation 18 of these Regulations.

(2) When called up for war service by proclamation issued pursuant to section 46 of the Defence Act 1903-1941, in its application in relation to the Naval Forces, an officer shall be paid an outfit gratuity of such amount as is approved by the Naval Board and shall provide himself with such additional articles of uniform as are necessary.”.

Commencement.

3. These Regulations shall be deemed to have comeinto operation on the first day of May, 1945.
