Naval Forces Regulations 2(Amendment)

  

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Naval Forces Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

  

2.   Retiring age of officers

2.1   Subregulation 102 (4):

Omit all the words after “Chaplain Branch”, add at the end:

       “is 55 years.”.

 

3.   Saving

3.1   Paragraph 102 (4) (b) of the Naval Forces Regulations, as in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, continues to apply to an officer who, immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, held an appointment of chaplain in the Chaplain Branch of the Permanant Naval Forces, being an officer nominated, with the consent of the officer, by the Chief of Naval Staff, for the purposes of this regulation.
