“13. In addition to active pay in accordance with the last preceding regulation, an allowance, called ‘Senior Chaplain’s allowance’, is payable at the rate of Forty-five cents per day to an officer of the Chaplain’s Branch who holds an appointment of Senior Chaplain.”.

(
a ) in respect of service, as an officer of the Chaplain’s Branch, in the Permanent Naval Forces on and after the fourth day of July, 1969;
and
(
b )subject to the provisions of Part XVI. of the Naval Financial Regulations, in respect of service, as an officer of the Chaplain’s Branch, in the Naval Emergency Reserve Forces or the Citizen Naval Forces, on or after that date.
(2.) Senior Chaplain’s allowance is payable at the rate specified in regulation 13 of the Naval Financial Regulations as amended by these Regulations in respect of service on the fourth day of July, 1969, or any subsequent day.
