The fees or allowances prescribed by these Regulations shall be subject to reduction by or under the Financial Emergency Acts 1931” in the same manner as they would have been so subject had the regulations been in force at the time of the commencement of those Acts.

1. Regulation 23 is amended—

(a) By omitting the Scale of Rates of Active Pay of Mechanician Ratings, and inserting in its stead the following scale:—

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 2nd Class”

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 1st Class”

“Officers’ Chief Steward and Chief Cook”

and inserting in their stead respectively the following titles:—

“Assistant Steward”

“Steward”

“Leading Steward”

“Petty Officer Steward”

“Chief Petty Officer Steward”.

(Note.—The words in the margin “Ship’s Cook” and “Officers’ Stewards and Cooks” should now be altered to read “Cooks” and “Stewards” respectively.)

2.Regulation 76, sub-regulation (1), is amended by omitting the amount “1s. 5d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “1s. 4d.”

3.Regulation 78 is amended by omitting the amount “7d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “6½d.”.

4.Regulation 79 is amended by omitting the amount “1s. 5d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “1s. 4d.”.
