Statutory Rules 1932, No. 78.

The fees or allowances prescribed by these Regulations shall be subject to reduction by or under the “Financial Emergency Acts 1931” in the same manner as they would have been so subject had the regulations been in force at the time of the commencement of those Acts.

1. Regulation 23 is amended—

(a) By omitting the Scale of Rates of Active Pay of Mechanician Ratings, and inserting in its stead the following scale:—

Ratings who qualify for Mechanician after 30th June, 1932—
Mechanican, 2nd Class	P.O.	..	10	6
Mechanican, 1st Class	C.P.O.	..	11	0
After two years’ service	”	..	11	6
After five years’ service	”	..	12	0

After eleven years’ service	”	..	13	0
Ratings who qualify for Mechanician prior to 1st July, 1932—
Mechanican,	C.P.O.	..	11	0

After nine years’ service	”	..	12	6
After twelve years’ service	”	..	13	0.”

 

(b) Bydeleting the words “Acting 4th Class” and “4th Class” inthe Scale of Rates of Active Pay of Engine-Room Artificer, Electrical Artificer and Ordnance Artificer ratings, and the letters “C.P.O.” opposite such words in the “Relative Rating” column, and inserting the following in their stead:—

(c) By deleting the words “4th Class” in the Scale of Rates of Active Pay of Shipwright ratings and the letters “C.P.O.” opposite such words in the “Relative Rating” column, and inserting the following in their stead:—

(d) Bydeleting the words “4th Class” in the Scale of Rates of Active Pay of Blacksmith, Plumber, Painter, Joiner and Dental Mechanic ratings, and the letters “P.O.” opposite such words in the “Relative Rating” column, and inserting the following in their stead:—

(e) byadding the following words respectively:—

“or Officers’ Cook, 2nd Class”

after the titles—

“Leading Cook”

“Petty Officer Cook”

“Chief Petty Officer Cook”.

 

(f) by omitting the word “Servant” after the word “Boy” in both cases, and inserting in its stead the word “Steward”.

 

(g) by omitting the following titles:—

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 4th Class”

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 3rd Class”

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 2nd Class”

“Officers’ Steward and Cook, 1st Class”

“Officers’ Chief Steward and Chief Cook”

and inserting in their stead respectively the following titles:—

“Assistant Steward”

“Steward”

“Leading Steward”

“Petty Officer Steward”

“Chief Petty Officer Steward”.

(Note.—The words in the margin “Ship’s Cook” and “Officers’ Stewards and Cooks” should now be altered to read “Cooks” and “Stewards” respectively.)

2.Regulation 76, sub-regulation (1), is amended by omitting the amount “1s. 5d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “1s. 4d.”

3.Regulation 78 is amended by omitting the amount “7d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “6½d.”.

4.Regulation 79 is amended by omitting the amount “1s. 5d.” and inserting in its stead the amount “1s. 4d.”.
