REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1945 AND THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1945 and the Naval Defence Act 1910-1934.

Amendment of the Naval Financial Regulations.  

Kit Upkeep Allowance.

1.—(1.) Regulation 34 of the Naval Financial Regulations is: amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) each of the amounts “ 9½d.”, “8d.”, “9d.” and “9d.” specified therein and inserting in their stead the amounts “ 11½d.”, “9d.”, “11d.” and “11d.”, respectively.

(2.) This regulation shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1946.

Special Allowances.

2. Regulation 48 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from sub-regulation (23.) the words “Gunner’s Mate” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “Gunnery Instructor”; and

(b)by omitting from sub-regulation (58.) the words “Torpedo Gunner’s Mate “ and inserting in their stead the words “Torpedo Instructor”.
