(
a ) a member has received or is entitled to receive active pay in accordance with regulation 9, 10, 12 or 29 of the Naval Financial Regulations, or an officer of the Women’s Service has received or is entitled to receive active pay in accordance with regulation 251 of those regulations, in respect of a day in the period from and including the third day of May, 1963, to and including the day immediately preceding the commencement of these Regulations; or(
b )a servicewoman of the Women’s. Service has received or is entitled to receive active pay in accordance with sub-regulation (3.) of regulation 252 of those regulations in respect: of a day in the period from and including the third day of May, 1963, to and including the seventeenth day of July, 1963.
(2.) The rate of active pay applicable under the Naval Financial Regulations during whichever period referred to in the last preceding sub-regulation is applicable shall, in a case to which this sub-regulation applies, be increased by an amount equal to the amount by which that rate is less than the rate of active pay that would have been applicable if the amendments made by these Regulations and by Statutory Rules 1963, No. 61, had taken effect on the third day of May, 1963.
(3.) Special allowance is payable in accordance with regulation 11 of the Naval Financial Retaliations as amended by retaliation 4 of these Regulations—
(
a ) to officers of the Medical Branch and to officers of the Dental Branch of the Permanent Naval Forces in respect of service on and after the third day of May, 1963; and(
b ) to officers of the Medical Branch and to officers of the Dental Branch of the Citizen Naval Forces who are entitled to payment of that allowance, by virtue of regulation 15 ofthe Naval. Financial (Citizen Forces) Regulations in respect of service on and after the first day of July, 1963.
