Parts.

1. Regulation 3 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the words—

“Part XIII.—Furlough and Extended Leave (Regulations 246-250).”

and inserting in their stead the words—

“Part XIII.—Furlough, Extended Leave and Pay in Lieu of Leave (Regulations 246-250a).”.

2. Regulation 30 of the Naval Financial Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Chief Cadet Captain’s allowance.

“30. In addition to any active pay and allowances payable under these Regulations, an allowance, called ‘Chief Cadet Captain’s allowance’, is payable to a Chief Cadet Captain at the rate of Five shillings per week.”.

(f) Made under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1952 on 4 May, 1964; notified in the Commonwealth Gazette on 8 May, 1964.

3. Regulation 145 of the Naval Financial Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Presentation to Chief Cadet Captain.

“145. A Chief Cadet Captain, on officially passing out of the College, may, with the approval of the Naval Board, be presented, at departmental expense, with a token of appreciation of his services, the cost of which does not exceed an amount determined by the Minister.”.

Uniform allowance.

4. Regulation 178 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by adding at the end of paragraph (aa) the words “under the age of seventeen years”.

Heading to Part XIII.

5. The heading to Part XIII. of the Naval Financial Regulations is repealed and the following heading inserted in its stead:—

“Part XIII.—Furlough, Extended Leave and Pay in Lieu of Leave.”.

6. After regulation 250 of the Naval Financial Regulations the following regulation is inserted in Part XIII.:—

Pay in lieu of leave.

“250a. Upon the termination (otherwise than by death) of the service of a member, the Naval Board may authorize payment to him of a sum equivalent to the amount of pay payable to the member in respect of any period of leave (other than furlough or extended leave) accruing to the member but not taken by him before the termination of his service.”.
