STATUTORY RULES.

1928. No. 18.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1918.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations, under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1918 to come into operation forthwith, unless otherwise specified herein.

Amendment of Naval Financial Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 198, as amended to present date.)

(Third Amendment.)

1. Regulation 4 is amended by omitting the definitions of “Minister” and “Naval Board.” and inserting in their stead the following:—

“‘Minister’ means the Minister administering the Naval Defence Act, or the member of the Executive Council for the time being acting in his stead.

‘Naval Board’ means the Naval Board of Administration constituted under the Acts.”

2. Regulation 34 is amended as from 1st January, 1928, by omitting sub-regulation (1) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(1) Kit Upkeep Allowance shall be granted to ratings commencing from date of entry as follows:—

Class I...................................	10½d. per diem
Class II..................................	8½d. per diem
Class III.................................	10d. per diem
All Band Ratings...................	10d. per diem”.

3. Regulation 35, sub-regulation (1) is amended as from 1st January, 1928, by omitting the amounts “£17”, “£16”, and “£15”, and inserting in their stead the amounts “£17 10s.”, “£15 15s.”, and “£14 15s.” respectively.

4. Regulation 48 is amended—

1. by inserting after sub-regulation 20, and after the heading “Gunnery” the following sub-regulations:—

2. by omitting sub-regulations (27) and (28) and inserting in their stead the following sub-regulations:—

3. by inserting after sub-regulation (28) the following sub-regulation:—

5. Regulation 100, sub-paragraph (d) is amended by omitting the word “exists” and inserting in its stead the word “exist”.

6. Regulation 119, sub-regulation 2 is amended by omitting “enetring” and inserting in its stead the word “entering “.

7. Regulation 141 is amended by omitting the word “person” in the first-line of sub-regulation 1 and inserting in its stead the word “persons”.
