1928. No. 138.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1918.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations, under the Naval DefenceAct 1910-1918, to come into operation forthwith unless otherwise specified herein.

Amendment of Naval Financial Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 198, as amended to present date.)

(Seventh Amendment.)

1. Regulation 48 is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (57) the following sub-regulation:—

“(57a) To Telegraphist ratings employed as Telegraphist Air Gunners—

Rate per day.

2. Regulation 52 is amended, as from 23rd February, 1928, by adding at the end of sub-regulation (3) the words and amount “Rear-Admiral (up to the age of 55 years)....................................... 9s. 6d.”

3. Regulation 65 is amended as follows:—

(1) by inserting after the word “dependent” in the seventh line of sub-regulation (1) the words “and maintained by him”

(2) by adding at the end of paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (2) the words “and maintained by him”.

(3) by inserting after the word “member” in the fifth line of paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (2) the words “and maintained by him”.

4. Regulation 111, sub-regulation (1) is amended by omitting the words “and in receipt of sea-going rates of pay”.

5. Regulation 127 is amended by inserting after sub-regulation 4 the following sub-regulation:—

“(5) Time whilst all pay is stopped under this regulation shall not count in connection with award or restoration of good conduct badges in the case of a rating belonging to the Royal Australian Navy, nor for pay on account of badges awarded to a rating of the Royal Navy serving in the Royal Australian Navy.”
