REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1934 AND NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1934.*

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1934 and the Naval Defence Act 1910-1934.

Amendment of Naval Financial Regulations,  

Commencement.

1. Regulations 2 and 3 of these Regulations shall come into operation on the first day of October, 1938.

Kit Upkeep Allowance.

2. Regulation 34 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the figures and letters “ 8d.”, “ 7d.”, “ 7½d.” and “ 7½d.” and inserting in their stead the figures and letters “8½d.”, “ 7½d.”, “8d.” and “ 8d.”, respectively.

Outfit Gratuities on Change of Class of Uniform.

3. Regulation 35 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the symbols and figures “ £14 12 6”, “ £12 10 0 ”, “ £11 12 6 ” and “ £9 15 0 ” and inserting in their stead the symbols and figures “£15 7 0 ”, “ £13 4 0 ”, “£12 8 0 ” and “ £10 8 0 ”, respectively.

Special Allowances.

4. Regulation 48 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (57c) the figure and letter “ 3d.” and inserting in their stead the figure and letter “ 6d”.
