(3.) An officer of the Professorial Staff becomes entitled to the next increment (if any) payable under the Naval College Regulations as amended by these Regulations—
(
a )on the anniversary of the day on which he received his last increment under the Naval College Regulations in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations; or(
b )if on the date of commencement of these Regulations, he had not completed twelve months’ service in the grade in which he is serving on that commencement—the anniversary of the date on which he commenced service in that grade.
(4.) An officer of the Professorial Staff, who, for any part of the period that commenced on the eighteenth day of October, 1963, and ended on the day immediately before the date of commencement of these Regulations, received salary at an annual rate specified in the first column of the table in sub-regulation (2.) of this regulation, shall be paid, in respect of the period for which he received salary at that rate, an amount equal to the difference between the amount of salary paid to him in respect of that period and the amount of salary that would have been paid to him if his annual rate of salary had been that specified in the second column opposite to that first-mentioned rate of salary.
