REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1918.

I, SIR WILLIAM HILL IRVINE, Deputy of the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1918, to come into operation on and from 1st July, 1919.

Amendment of Naval College Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1916, No. 61, as amended to present date.)

After regulation 28, the following regulation is inserted:—

“28a. Nursing Sisters attached to the College shall wear uniform which shall be comprised of such articles as are approved by the Naval Board. Uniform shall be worn when on duty within the precincts of the College, and on such other occasions as may be directed. These articles, which shall be supplied at the expense of the Government after a period of three months’ probation, and only then if the appointee is recommended and confirmed, shall remain the property of the Government and shall be relinquished on resignation or removal, if so directed.”
