This notice may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Quail Harvest Period) Notice 1995 . 1 ˙ Quails to which notice applies 2. This notice applies to the following quails— (a) stubble quail ( Coturnix pectoralis ); (b) brown quail ( Coturnix ypsilophora ). ˙ Harvest period for quails 3. A harvest period for quails starts on 8 July 1995 and ends on 1 October 1995. ˙ Where harvest period applies 4. The harvest period applies in all local government areas other than Aramac, Atherton, Aurukun, Balonne, Barcaldine, Barcoo, Booringa, Boulia, Brisbane, Bulloo, Bundaberg, Burdekin, Burke, Cairns, Caloundra, Cardwell, Carpentaria, Charters Towers, Cloncurry, Cook, Cooloola, Croydon, Dalby, Dalrymple, Diamantina, Douglas, Eacham, Etheridge, Flinders, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Goondiwindi, Herberton, Hinchinbrook, Ilfracombe, Ipswich, Isisford, Johnstone, Logan, Longreach, Mackay, Mareeba, Maroochy, McKinlay, Mirani, Mornington, Mount Isa, Murweh, Noosa, Paroo, Quilpie, Redcliffe, Redland, Richmond, Rockhampton, Roma, Sarina, Tambo, Toowoomba, Torres, Townsville, Warroo, Warwick and Winton. ˙ Conditions for taking and keeping quail 5. A person must not— (a) take more than 13 quails (regardless of species) in a period of 1 A harvest period may be declared for quails under the Nature Conservation (Duck and Quail) Conservation Plan 1995 , section 5.
s5 3 s5 Nature Conservation (Quail Harvest Period) No. 219, 1995 24 hours; or (b) have in possession at a place, other than the person’s usual place of residence, more than 60 quails (regardless of species).
