This regulation may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Protected Areas) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Nature Conservation (Protected Areas) Regulation 1994 . ˙ Amendment of sch 2 (National parks) 3. Schedule 2, entry for ‘Homevale National Park’— omit, insert— ‘Homevale National Park Lot 103 on plan NPW566SHT1 situated in the County of Wodehouse, containing an area of about 21 800 ha’. ˙ Amendment of sch 4 (Resources reserves) 4. Schedule 4, entry for ‘Homevale Resources Reserve’— omit, insert— ‘Homevale Resources Reserve Lot 1000 on plan N PW 566S HT2 situated in the County of Wodehouse, containing an area of about 13 300 ha The mining chief executive and the chief executive of the department’.

Schedule 5— insert— PART 4—EDWARD CORBOULD RESERVE AND RETREAT NATURE REFUGE ˙ Name 16. Edward Corbould Reserve and Retreat Nature Refuge. ˙ Description 17.(1) The land, containing an area of 485.3431 ha, consisting of— (a) lot 69 on plan RP865173 situated in the County of Ward; and (b) lot 258 on plan WD943 and lot 495 on plan W311031 situated in the County of Ward, shown hachured on plan PA5; and (c) lot 2 on plan RP59849 situated in the County of Canning; and (d) lot 3 on plan RP866822 and lot 511 on plan CC1866 situated in the County of Churchill, shown hachured on plan PA6; and (e) lots 2, 3, 5 and 6 on plan RP59942, lot 1 on plan RP83001, lot 2 on plan RP114185 and lot 4 on plan WD3209 situated in the County of Ward, shown hachured on plan PA7. (2) The land is located at Darlington Range, Jacobs Well, Mooloolah, Sapling Pocket and Wolfdene. ˙ Significant cultural and natural resources and values 18. The nature refuge supports a diverse array of endemic flora and fauna, including 20 identified species of native wildlife prescribed as rare, endangered or vulnerable.
s5 4 s5 Nature Conservation (Protected Areas) Amendment (No. 6) No. 281, 1996 ˙ Proposed management intent and use 19.(1) The nature refuge is comprised of 5 areas, each of which is the subject of a separate conservation agreement. (2) Under the conservation agreements— (a) the land-holder must not carry on, or permit to be carried on, any commercial activity in the nature refuge; and (b) the nature refuge is to be managed as a national park. ˙ Duration 20. For each of the areas comprising the nature refuge, the duration of the declaration of the nature refuge is the duration of the conservation agreement for the area.’. ENDNOTES 1.
