This notice may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Macropod Harvest Period) Amendment Notice (No. 3) 1995 . ˙ Notice amended 2. This notice amends the Nature Conservation (Macropod Harvest Period) Notice 1994 . ˙ Replacement of ss 2–3 3. Sections 2 to 3— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Definitions ‘ 2. In this notice— “field preparation” , of a macropod, means evisceration and removal of its head, paws and tail. ˙ ‘ Harvest period for eastern grey kangaroo ‘ 3.(1) This section applies to the eastern grey kangaroo ( Macropus giganteus ). ‘ (2) A harvest period for the eastern grey kangaroo starts on 19 December 1994 and ends on— (a) for an eastern grey kangaroo that has a carcass that weighs 14kg or more after field preparation and a skin size of 0.37m 2 or more—31 December 1995; and (b) for another eastern grey kangaroo—midday on 16 August 1995. ‘ (3) The harvest period applies only in the local government areas specified for the eastern grey kangaroo in the schedule.

s4 3 s4 Nature Conservation (Macropod Harvest Period) Amendment (No. 3) No. 226, 1995 ˙ ‘ Harvest period for whiptail wallaby ‘ 4.(1) This section applies to the whiptail wallaby ( Macropus parryi ). ‘ (2) A harvest period for the whiptail wallaby starts on 19 December 1994 and ends on 31 December 1995. ‘ (3) The harvest period applies only in the local government areas specified for the whiptail wallaby in the schedule. ˙ ‘ Harvest period for red kangaroo ‘ 5.(1) This section applies to the red kangaroo ( Macropus rufus ). ‘ (2) A harvest period for the red kangaroo starts on 1 March 1995 and ends on— (a) for a red kangaroo that has a carcass that weighs 14kg or more after field preparation and a skin size of 0.37m 2 or more—31 December 1995; and (b) for another red kangaroo—midday on 16 August 1995. ‘ (3) The harvest period applies only in the local government areas specified for the red kangaroo in the schedule. ˙ ‘ Expiry ‘ 6. This notice expires on 31 December 1995.’. ˙ Amendment of sch (Where harvest period applies) 4.(1) Schedule, ‘sections 2 and 3’— omit, insert— ‘sections 3, 4 and 5’. (2) Schedule, item 2— omit.
