s1 2 s3 Nature Conservation (Duck and Quail Harvest No. 77, 1999 Period) ˙ Short title 1. This notice may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Duck and Quail Harvest Period) Notice 1999 . ˙ Harvest period for ducks 2.(1) A harvest period for ducks starts on 19 June 1999 and ends on 12 September 1999. (2) The harvest period applies only in the areas of the local governments stated in the schedule, item 1. (3) A person must not— (a) shoot a duck if— (i) the duck is not in flight; or (ii) the person is in a moving boat; or (b) take more than 12 ducks, regardless of species, in a period of 24 hours; or (c) have in possession at a place, other than the person’s usual place of residence, more than 30 ducks, regardless of species. ˙ Harvest period for quails 3.(1) A harvest period for quails starts on 15 May 1999 and ends on 8 August 1999. (2) The harvest period applies only in the areas of the local governments stated in the schedule, item 2. (3) A person must not— (a) take more than 25 quails, regardless of species, in a period of 24 hours; or (b) have in possession at a place, other than the person’s usual place of residence, more than 60 quails, regardless of species.
