s1 2 s3 Nature Conservation Amendment (No. 1) No. 264, 2000 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Nature Conservation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2000 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Nature Conservation Regulation 1994 . ˙ Insertion of new sch 2A, s 2 3. Schedule 2A— insert— ˙ ‘ Barron Gorge National Park ‘ 2.(1) The construction, use and maintenance of approved facilities to allow the extraction of not more than 50 ML of water each day from Lake Placid are permitted uses for Barron Gorge National Park. ‘ (2) In this section— “approved facilities” means the following— (a) a submerged water intake tower in Lake Placid; (b) a vehicle access bridge from Barron Gorge Road to the water intake tower; (c) a pump station on the north bank of the Barron River; (d) water mains under Barron Gorge Road. 1 ’. 1 A copy of a plan showing the location of the approved facilities is available for inspection during business hours at the department’s offices at 160 Ann Street, Brisbane and 10–12 McLeod Street, Cairns.
