Nature Conservation Amendment Act 2012

An Act to amend the Nature Conservation Act 2002

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Nature Conservation Amendment Act 2012 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Nature Conservation Act 2002 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 32A insertedAfter section 32 of the Principal Act , the following section is inserted in Part 4: 32AAmendment of Schedules in Wildlife (General) Regulations 2010 (1)  The Minister, by order published in the Gazette, may amend Schedules 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 and 7 to the Wildlife (General) Regulations 2010  – (a) by adding the name of an order, family, common name or species; or (b) by amending the name of an order, family, common name or species; or (c) by omitting the name of an order, family, common name or species. (2)  An order under subsection (1) is not a statutory rule within the meaning of the Rules Publication Act 1953 . 5Repeal of ActThis Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from the day on which it commences.
