Native Vegetation Amendment (Private Native Forestry) Regulation (No 2) 2006

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Native Vegetation Act 2003.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to further extend the period for which clearing for the purposes of private native forestry operations may be continued without approval under the Native Vegetation Act 2003.
This Regulation is made under the Native Vegetation Act 2003, including section 51 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Native Vegetation Amendment (Private Native
Forestry) Regulation (No 2) 2006.
2 Amendment of Native Vegetation Regulation 2005
The Native Vegetation Regulation 2005 is amended by omitting clause
41 (2) and by inserting instead the following subclause:
(2) This clause is repealed on:
(a)
the day on which the Assessment Methodology adopted under Part 5 is amended to provide a methodology for assessing and determining whether proposed private native forestry will improve or maintain environmental outcomes, or
(b) 1 July 2007, whichever is the earlier.
