Native Title (New South Wales) Amendment Act 1998 No 88 - Proclamation
(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Native Title (New South Wales) Amendment Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 March 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The uncommenced provisions of the above Act that will be commenced by the Proclamation are provisions relating to low-impact prospecting titles, namely:

(a) Schedule 5 [ l ] and [4], and
(b) so much of Schedule 5 [13] as inserts clause 62 into Schedule 6 to the Mining Act

1992, and

(c) Schedule 6 [ l ] , [4] and [9].
