4REAS it is desirable to encourage the introduction of
W"" Products in South Australia, by providing br the payment, in New Manufactures and the growth and production of New
certain cases, of rewards or sums of money, by way of bonus, to persons who may develop new industries within the said Province: And whereas it is desirable to give the Governor power to order payment of such rewards or sums of nloncy, by way of bonus, as have heretofore been included in any Appropriation Act, notwith- standing that the period within which such bonuses or rewards may have been legally claimable has expired; and also to offer bonuses or rewards under certain circumstances for the cncourage- ment of new industries or discoveries, and to order payment of such bonuses or rewards notwithstanding that the amount thereof may not have been included in any Appropriation Act-Be it therefore Enacted hy the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Aus- tralia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parlia- ment assembled, as follows:

the passing of any such Appropriation Act; and upon the making of such order, the Treasurer may, out of the General Revenue of thc said Province, in his hands a t l r after the making of such order, pay the amount thereof to such person, notwithstanding that the amount voted for such bonus may have lapsed.
