Majesty by and wi th t h e advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council and the Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South W a l e s in Par l i ament assembled and by the au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—
1. The occupant of any land stocked wi th sheep cat t le or horses is hereby empowered to lay poisoned mea t upon such land Provided t h a t no lessee of any Crown lands is hereby authorized to lay such poisoned m e a t wi th in a distance of th ree-quar te rs of a mile from any publ ic road or t rack used by t ravel l ing stock.
2. N o occupan t of any freehold estate is hereby author ized to lay poisoned mea t wi th in one hundred yards of any road in tersec t ing such es ta te nor wi th in one h u n d r e d yards of the boundary of such estate.
3. Eve ry person who shall have laid poisoned meat on any land shall when such land is in tersec ted by a public road post a legible not ice six feet from the g round a t t he roadside a t t he boundary of such land to t he effect t h a t such poisoned mea t is so laid Any person removing such notice or no t complying wi th the provisions of th is section shall be l iable to a pena l ty not exceeding ten pounds to be recovered in a summary m a n n e r before any Jus t i ce of t he Peace.
4. N o person authorized to lay poison as aforesaid shall be liable for t h e des t ruc t ion of any dog caused by poison so laid.

t e n u r e or any super in tendent overseer or other duly authorized person
act ing for and on behalf of any such occupant .
6. This Act shall not extend to any city or town.
