Application to terminate the Journalists (News Limited - Metropolitan Daily Newspapers) Award 2002.

[1] On 25 October 2010, Nationwide News Pty Ltd and Others made an application for Fair Work Australia (FWA) to terminate the enterprise instrument known as the Journalists (News Limited - Metropolitan Daily Newspapers) Award 2002 (the Award). The application was made pursuant to Item 5(1) of Schedule 6 to the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 (the Transitional Act).

[2] I have considered the factors in Item 4 of Schedule 6 to the Transitional Act.

[3] The application is granted and the Award is terminated. The termination shall operate from 18 November 2010.
