REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

I, THE DEPUTY OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendments of the National Security (Wheat Harvest Employment) Regulations.

Object.

1. Regulation 3 of the National Security (Wheat Harvest Employment) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the words “of wheat” and inserting in their stead the words “for grain of wheat, oats, barley and rye sown during the year 1942 and the cutting for hay of wheat and oats sown during that year”; and

(b) by inserting after the word “harvesting” (last occurring) the words “for grain and cutting for hay”.

Functions of Commission.

2. Regulation 9 of the National Security (Wheat Harvest Employment) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) the words “of wheat sown during the year 1942” and inserting in their stead the words “for grain of wheat, oats, barley and rye sown during the year 1942 and the cutting for hay of wheat and oats sown during that year”; and
