REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1946.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1946.

Amendments of the National Security (Timber Control) Regulations.

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the first day of July, 1946.

Administration.

2. Regulation 2 of the National Security (Timber Control) Regulations is amended by omitting the words ‘Works and Housing’ and inserting in their stead the words “the Interior”:

Definitions.

3. Regulation 4 of the National Security (Timber Control) Regulations is amended by omitting from the definition of “the Controller’ the words “Works and Housing” and inserting in their stead the words “the Interior”.

Saving of Instruments of Controller.

4. Any order, requirement or direction made or given under the National Security (Timber Control) Regulations, and in force immediately prior to the commencement of these Regulations, shall continue in force as if it had been made or given by the Controller of Timber of the Department of the Interior under the National Security (Timber Control) Regulations, as amended by these Regulations, and may be revoked, amended or varied accordingly.
