STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*

advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the National Security (Tea Control) Regulations.
“9aa.—(1.) Nothing in the last preceding regulation shall empower the Board to fix the maximum price of tea but, subject to the concurrence of the Commonwealth Prices Commissioner and with the approval of the Minister, the Board may, by order, fix the minimum price at which any tea may be sold either generally or in the case of sales of particular kinds or upon particular conditions.
“(2.) The power conferred by the last preceding sub-regulation shall for all purposes be deemed to be validly exercised by an order which is expressed to fix the minimum price for the sale of any tea by reference to a maximum price fixed from time to time by order under the National Security (Prices) Regulations for the sale of that tea.

“(3.) A person shall not sell or offer for sale any tea at a lesser price than the minimum price (if any) applicable to the sale under this regulation.
“(4.) A person shall not—
(
a ) sell or offer to sell any tea together with any other goods on terms which do not state separately the price of the tea;(
b ) sell or offer to sell any goods on the condition that the purchaser also buys or has bought tea; or(
c ) by reason of the fact that any person has bought, or intends to buy, any tea, sell or offer to sell to that person any other goods at a price less than the ordinary price at which he sells those goods.
“(5.) For the purposes of this regulation, anything done at the place of business of any person by an employee of that person acting or purporting to act in the course of his employment, whether contrary to the instructions of that person or not, shall be deemed to have been done by that person.
“(6.) For the purposes of this regulation, a person shall be deemed to offer tea or other goods for sale if he notifies the price proposed by him for a sale of the tea or other goods by the publication of a price list, by exposing the tea or other goods for the sale in association with a mark indicating price, by furnishing a quotation or otherwise howsoever”.
