National Security (Supplementary) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*
I, THE Deputy of the GOVERNOR-GENERAL in
and over the Commonwealth of Australia acting with the advice of the Federal
Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the

Amendment of the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations.
The National Security (Supplementary) Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:—
“.—(1.) It shall be lawful for an authorized person to—
(
a ) manufacture margarine on premises where tropical butterfat spread is manufactured;(
b ) keep any butterfat, hydrogenated butterfat or skim milk powder on premises where margarine is manufactured; and(
c ) use the word ‘butter’ (either alone or in conjunction with any other word or words) in connexion with tropical butterfat spread.

“(2.) In this regulation—
‘authorized person’ means a person engaged in fulfilling orders placed by, or performing contracts entered into with, the Commonwealth or any authority of the Commonwealth for or in connexion with the supply of tropical butterfat spread who is specified in writing by the Minister of State for Supply and Shipping to be an authorized person for the purposes of this regulation;
‘tropical butterfat spread’ means the substance made from butterfat and hydrogenated butterfat combined with salt and skim milk powder.”.
