REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1943.

Amendment of National Security (Supplementary) Regulations. 

The National Security (Supplementary) Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:—

Unlawful retention of licences, ration tickets, &c.

“ —(1.) A person shall not, otherwise than in accordance with the Regulations or with lawful excuse, retain in his possession any licence, ration ticket, ration document or ration coupon issued, or any licence form, ration ticket, ration document or ration coupon authorized by an authority of the Commonwealth to be issued, under the Regulations.

“(2.) In this regulation, ‘the Regulations’ means any regulations made (whether before or after the commencement of the Black Marketing Act 1942) under the National Security Act 1939 or under that Act as subsequently amended, and includes any Orders made under any such Regulations”.
