REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendment of National Security (Supplementary) Regulations.

The National Security (Supplementary) Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:—

Postponement of certain action under the Apple and Pear Organization Act 1938.

“57. Until after a date to be fixed by the Minister of State for Commerce by notice in the Gazette—

(a) a poll of growers in any State shall not be taken in pursuance of section 4 of the Apple and Pear Organization Act 1938 for the purpose of the election of members of the Australian Apple and Pear Board representing growers in that State; and

(b) it shall not be necessary for the report referred to in section 25 of that Act to be made to the Minister.”.
