STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*

acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulation under the

Amendment of the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations.
Regulation 118ab of the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations is amended—
(
a ) by omitting from paragraph (a ) of sub-regulation (16.) the word “or” (second and third occurring) and inserting in its stead the word “and”;(
b ) by omitting from that paragraph the words “the prescribed days” (second occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “a prescribed day or on the prescribed days (as specified in the direction or requirement)”; and(
c ) by inserting, after that sub-regulation, the following sub-regulation:—“(16a) Where, because of the absence from work in any undertaking of employees of a particular class, any employee (not being an employee of that class) was absent from work in that undertaking on all working days between the tenth day of August, 1945, and V-P Day, the reference in paragraph (
a ) of the last preceding sub-regulation to the last working day before V-P Day shall, in relation to that employee, be construed as a reference to the tenth day of August, 1945,”.
