REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendment of the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations.

Balance-sheet of Commonwealth Bank and Statement of Australian banking statistics.

Regulation 39 of the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(4.) Within one month after the 31st day of March, the 30th day of June, the 30th day of September and the 31st day of December in each year or so soon thereafter as is practicable, the Board shall transmit to the Treasurer and also to the President of the Senate and to the Speaker of the House of Representatives to be laid before the Senate and the House of Representatives respectively, a Statement of Australian Banking Statistics for the last five preceding quarters.”.
