REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1946.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1946.

Amendments of the National Security (Staff of War-time Authorities) Regulations. 

1. After regulation 16 of the National Security (Staff of War-time Authorities) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Variation of travelling allowance.

“16a. Upon proof to the satisfaction of the Minister that the travelling allowance payable to an officer under these Regulations is either insufficient to cover, or in excess of expenses reasonably incurred, the Minister may vary the allowance.”.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule.

2.—(1.) The Fifth Schedule to the National Security (Staff of War-time Authorities) Regulations is amended by inserting in Table A, after the words and figures—

(2.) This amendment shall be deemed to have come into operation on the sixteenth day of April, 1946.
