STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation
under the

Amendment of the National Security (Shipbuilding) Regulations.
Regulation 12 of the National Security (Shipbuilding) Regulations is amended—
(
a ) by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), after the word “Minister”, the words “or of the Director-General”;(
b ) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “and insofar as expenditure is involved within the limits of available funds,”; and(
c ) by omitting sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—“(3.) Before expending money, or undertaking liability to expend money, in respect of a project or order for ship construction or in respect of any other large scale project or order, the Board shall submit the proposed expenditure through the Director-General for the approval of the Minister.”.
