REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1943.

Amendment of the National Security (Shearing of Sheep) Regulations.

The Schedule to the National Security (Shearing of Sheep) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraphs 1 and 2 and inserting in their stead the following paragraphs:—

“1. All those parts of the State of New South Wales within the following boundaries:—Commencing at a point on the Barwon River at its junction with the southern boundary of the State of Queensland about two miles south-west from the town of Mungindi and bounded thence by the Barwon River and the Darling River downwards to its junction with the eastern boundary of the County of Young, thence generally northerly along the eastern boundaries of the Counties of Young, Yungnulgra and Tongowoko to the southern boundary of the State of Queensland, thence by that boundary easterly to the point of commencement

1st October to 30th June (both inclusive)

2. All those parts of the State of New South Wales within the following boundaries:—Commencing at a point being the junction of Marra Creek with the Darling or Barwon River Parish of Wyabray, County of Clyde and bounded thence by Marra Creek upwards to Mundadoo, by the northern boundary of Portion 1, Parish of Cowal, County of Clyde and its prolongation westerly to the public road to the Bogan River, by that road westerly and south-westerly through Monkey to the Bogan River, by the boundary between the Central and Western

15th October to 15th July (both inclusive)

1st November to 31st August (both inclusive)

 

to Yanco, by the railway line from Yanco to Narrandera, thence by the Murrumbidgee River downwards to Maude, thence by a line from Maude generally north-westerly to Oxley, thence by a line generally northerly to Clare and the point of commencement”;

(d) by inserting after paragraph 10 the following paragraph:—

“10. All those parts of the State of New South Wales within the following boundaries:—Commencing at Ungarie, thence by the Ungarie-Naradham railway line generally westerly to Naradham, by Main Road No. 371 generally southerly to Rankin Springs, by Mid-Western State Highway Main Road No. 6, south-westerly, by Main Road No. 321 generally southerly to the railway line at Beelbangera, by the railway line southwesterly to Griffith, by the railway line from Griffith generally south-easterly to Yanco, by the railway line from Yanco southeasterly to Narrandera, by part of the railway line from Narrandera to Jerilderie generally southerly to its intersection with the Murrumbidgee River, by the Murrumbidgee River upwards, by the eastern boundary of Portion 30, Parish of Currawananna, County of Bourke and the public road generally northerly through Millwood to Coolamon, by the road from Coolamon generally north-easterly to Temora being Developmental Road No. 1097 and Trunk Road No. 57, by the railway line from Temora generally easterly to Stockinbingal, thence by the railway line generally northerly to Caragabal, thence by a line generally westerly through Marsden to Ungarie and point of commencement”; and

(e) by omitting paragraphs 16, 17, 18, 18a, 19, 19a and 20 and inserting in their stead the following paragraphs:—
