National Security (Racing Restriction) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the

AMENDMENTS OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY (RACING RESTRICTION) REGULATIONS.
“‘greyhound-racing’ means racing between dogs in competitive pursuit of a live quarry or a lure activitated by mechanical or other means;”.
(a) by omitting the words “race-meeting or” and inserting in their stead the words “race at a race-meeting or at”;
(b) by omitting the word “continue”; and
(c) by omitting, all the words after the word “day”.
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “dates for” and inserting in their stead the words “the number of, or dates for”; and
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) all the words after the word “racing-meeting” (first occurring) and inserting in its stead the words “to be held in that area, the reduction shall be effected by reducing the number

of meetings which any racing club has been authorized to hold under any law in force immediately prior to the commencement of these Regulations, to, as nearly as practicable, one-fourth of the number of meetings so authorized, but so that no such reduction shall be effected where the number of race-meetings so authorized was three or less”.
“12. A person shall not publish in any newspaper, anticipations, or any information concerning anticipations, published in any other newspaper, of any results of any proposed race-meeting or meeting for greyhound-racing or any indication of the order in which horses or dogs may be fancied in the betting on any race at any such race-meeting or meeting.”.
