REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1943.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1943.

Amendments of the National Security (Meat Industry) Regulations.

1. The National Security (Meat Industry) Regulations are amended by inserting after regulation 9 the following regulation:—

The Executive Member.

“9A.—(1.) The Minister may appoint one of the members of the Committee (other than the Chairman) to be the Executive Member of the Committee.

“(2.) The Executive Member shall perform such duties as are determined by the Committee and shall be responsible for the carrying out of the decisions of the Committee.”.

Executive Committee.

2. Regulation 10 of the National Security (Meat Industry) Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), before the word “and” (first occurring) the words “, the Executive Member of the Committee”.
