National Security (Liquid Fuel) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS) ACT 1946-1947.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the National Security (Liquid Fuel) Regulations.
(
a ) by inserting after the definition of “bulk supplier” the following definition :—“ ‘ Deputy Controller ’ means a Deputy Controller of Liquid Fuel appointed under these Regulations ;”; and
(
b ) by omitting the definition of “ the Deputy Controller ”.
“ 10.—(1.) There shall be—
(
a ) a Controller of Liquid Fuel; and(
b ) one or more Deputy Controllers of Liquid Fuel,
who shall be appointed by the Minister on such terms and conditions as the Minister thinks fit and shall hold office during the pleasure of the Minister.
(2.) The person holding the office of Controller of Liquid Fuel immediately prior to the commencement of this regulation shall continue to hold office as if appointed under this regulation.

(3.) Subject to any directions of the Controller, a Deputy Controller may exercise all the powers and functions of the Controller.”.
(
a ) by omitting from paragraph (a ) of sub-regulation (1.) the words “ the Deputy ” and inserting in their stead the words “ a Deputy ”;(
b ) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the word “ Deputy ” and inserting in its stead the words “ a Deputy ”; and(
c ) by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the words “ the Deputy ” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “ a Deputy ”.
