REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939–1943.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939–1943.

Amendments of the National Security (Jute) Regulations.

1. After regulation 1 of the National Security (Jute) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Administration.

“1a. These Regulations shall be administered by the Minister of State for Supply and Shipping”.

Definitions.

2. Regulation 2 of the National Security (Jute) Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of “the Minister”.

Powers of Jute Buyers.

3. Regulation 5 of the National Security (Jute) Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), after the word “Commonwealth”, the words “jute and”; and

(b) by inserting in sub-regulation (2.), before the words “jute goods”. the words “jute and”.
