STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

a ) by inserting in paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (1.), after the word “make”, the words “, or have in his possession,”; and

(
b ) by omitting the first proviso to that sub-regulation and inserting in its stead the following proviso:—“Provided that a person shall not be deemed to have a camera with him in a vessel in contravention of this regulation—
(i) in the case of a person on board a harbour or river vessel licensed as a passenger or vehicular ferry plying between two or more fixed points of call on a regular advertised time-table—if the camera is carried in such a manner that it cannot readily be used, or
(ii) in the case of a person on board a vessel proceeding to or from Australia—if he surrenders the camera to the master of the vessel on or before reaching the territorial limits of Australia or at the port of embarkation, as the case may be, or
(iii) in the case of person proceeding between interstate or intra-state ports in Australia only—if he surrenders the camera to the master of the vessel at the port of embarkation:”.
