REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendment of the National Security (General) Regulations.

Powers of State Premiers.

Regulation 35a of the National Security (General) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (3.) the following sub-regulation:—

“(3a.) If the Minister declares, by notice in the Gazette, that, for the purposes of this regulation, the Territory accepted by the Commonwealth in pursuance of the Jervis Bay Territory Acceptance Act 1915 is attached to the State of New South Wales, that Territory shall be deemed to be a portion of the State of New Souh Wales, and all persons therein shall comply with the requirements of any Order made under this regulation, whether before or after the commencement of this sub-regulation, by the Premier of that State.”.
