National Security (General) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation
under the

AMENDMENT OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY (GENERAL) REGULATIONS.
Regulation 47A of the National Security (General) Regulations is amended–
(a) by omitting from paragraph (d) of sub-regulation (1) the word “officer” and inserting in its stead the word “person”;
(b) by inserting the following sub-regulation after sub-regulation (1):–
“(1a.) The owner or master may give such orders to the officers and members of the crew of the vessel as he considers necessary for the purpose of securing compliance with the directions of the authorized person, and every officer and other member of the crew of the vessel shall comply with such orders.”; and
(
c ) by inserting the following sub-regulation after sub-regulation (3):–“(3a.) The Maritime Industry Commission constituted under the National Security (Maritime Industry) Regulations may make orders providing for the payments to be made for work performed in pursuance of this regulation.”
