STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939–1940.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendment of the National Security (Emergency Supplies) Regulations.
“(2.) Notwithstanding anything contained in the last preceding sub-regulation, the Minister, or any person authorized by the Minister, to grant exemptions under this regulation, may exempt the manufacturer or producer of any goods from compliance with the provisions of that sub-regulation, and the manufacturer or producer shall, in respect of those goods, be exempted accordingly, but shall place, or cause to be placed, on the goods or outer covering, as the case may be, such marks of identification (if any) as the Minister or person so authorized directs.”.

a ) by omitting the words “an administrative authority” and inserting in their stead the words “a regional area”; and(
b ) by omitting the words “that administrative authority” and inserting in their stead the words “the administrative authority of that regional area”.* Notified in the

a ) by omitting from paragraph (a ) the word “and” (last occurring); and(
b ) by adding after paragraph (b ) the following word and paragraph:—“; and
(
c ) other expenditure or losses arising in connexion with the provision of stocks of prescribed goods.”.
