STATUTORY RULES.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939–1943.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1943.

Amendments of the National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations.

1. After regulation 26 of the National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Further provisions relating to returns.

“26a.—(1.) The Controller, the Assistant Controller, a Deputy Controller or any officer or person authorized by the Controller, the Assistant Controller or a Deputy Controller to act under this regulation, may, by notice in writing served personally or by post on a producer, require the producer to furnish, to the person giving the notice, on or before a date specified in the notice, a return in accordance with the form in the Schedule to these Regulations in relation to such period or periods as are specified in the notice.

“(2.) The return shall be signed by the producer in the presence of a Justice of the Peace.

“(3.) A producer who has been required under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation to furnish a return shall not—

(a) refuse or fail to furnish, on or before the date specified in the notice, to the person making the requirement, a duly signed and attested return; or

(b) furnish any such return which is incomplete, or false or misleading in any particular.”.

2.After regulation 38 of the National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Eggs not to be purchased, &c, contrary to Regulations.

“38a. A person shall not purchase, take in exchange or otherwise acquire or receive any eggs from a producer unless he is a person to whom the producer may, by or under these Regulations, sell, exchange or otherwise dispose of eggs.”.

3. The National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following Schedule:—

“THE SCHEDULE. Regulation 26a.

National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations.

I, [insert full name], of [insert place of abode], being a producer within the meaning of the National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations, hereby certify that the following is a full, true and complete statement of all eggs produced, sold, disposed of or delivered by me or on my behalf during the periods shown below, together with the name and address of each person to whom each such sale, disposal or delivery was effected.

Schedule.

Periods.	Eggs produced (doz.).	Eggs forwarded to an Agent of the Controller (doz.).	Eggs consumed by Producer and Family (doz.).	Eggs used for Incubation (doz.).	Particulars of sales, disposal and deliveries otherwise than to an Agent of the Controller.
					Date.	Quantity (doz.).	Name and Address of Buyer or Receiver of eggs.
