STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939–1943.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the National Security (Egg Industry) Regulations.
“26a.—(1.) The Controller, the Assistant Controller, a Deputy Controller or any officer or person authorized by the Controller, the Assistant Controller or a Deputy Controller to act under this regulation, may, by notice in writing served personally or by post on a producer, require the producer to furnish, to the person giving the notice, on or before a date specified in the notice, a return in accordance with the form in the Schedule to these Regulations in relation to such period or periods as are specified in the notice.
“(2.) The return shall be signed by the producer in the presence of a Justice of the Peace.
“(3.) A producer who has been required under sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation to furnish a return shall not—
(
a ) refuse or fail to furnish, on or before the date specified in the notice, to the person making the requirement, a duly signed and attested return; or(
b ) furnish any such return which is incomplete, or false or misleading in any particular.”.
