1942. No. 53.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendments of the National Security (Civil Defence Volunteers’ Compensation) Regulations.

Definitions.

1. Regulation 4 of the National Security (Civil Defence Volunteers’ Compensation) Regulations is amended by inserting after the definition of “trustees” the following definition:—

“war injury” means a personal injury which is sustained by a civil defence volunteer in the course of his employment as a civil defence volunteer in connexion with an actual or expected attack by or upon the enemy, or a suspected attack by the enemy, and which is directly attributable to that employment.

General amendment.

2. The National Security (Civil Defence Volunteers’ Compensation) Regulations are amended by inserting after the words “training injury” (wherever occurring, except in the definition of “training injury” in regulation 4) the words “or war injury”.
